In the Summer Term 2011 the Chair For Information Systems at Kassel University held a 'Creating Innovation Services' seminar.
Philipp Ebert, Florian Hahn and Sebastian Zrinscak made up one of the three groups which attended this seminar and they developed a smart phone app prototype and a business plan for bringing this to market. The app is designed to provide services and functions for users with diabetes.
This group submitted this idea to the Unikat '11 Business Plan competition and won second prize. They subsequently negotiated and signed a contract with a company for the further development of the idea. The idea first conceived at the CIS seminar, is on the way to becoming a product and the student innovators are now entrepreneurs.
A selection of screenshots from the 'mock-up' of the App.
