LAUNCH.ed Innovation Cup 2012

The LAUNCH.ed Innovation Cup is a business competition for researchers, students and graduates of the University of Edinburgh with research, or technology-based, ideas or young business ventures.

There were five finalists on 15 June with the winner being Kanika Bansal which will her invention to reduce infection rates in hospitals. Second place went to Paul Brennan and Roland Partridge of eoSurgical.

The winner received £5000 cash, and the winner and runners-up are invited to apply for the LAUNCH.ed Acceleration Pipeline, a year-long awardwinning business support programme for University of Edinburgh businesses with high-growth potential. Companies on the Acceleration Pipeline may apply for up to £5000 in additional business funding.
