Open to Innovation: Data Sharing from Local to National to Transnational

There are increasing requirements to gather and exchange large volumes of both non-personal and an personal information in a variety of sectors extending from local to national to transnational levels.

Building open innovation and sharing this data benefits an individual seeking help as well as the people involved in supporting services. However, additional risks also arise, including data protection, uncertainty over data provenance and threats to privacy.

This event, run by Meganexus, on 17 May 2013 at University College London, explored how open innovation can be enhanced through data sharing, the different levels of data sharing for collaborations and how networks of shared data expand to enhance productivity.  The event was aimed at data managers and policy makers in these areas:

  • SME Support
  • Probation Trusts
  • Custodial Management
  • Financial Confidence.
