Laval Virtual Networking Days

Networking Days at the 15th International Meeting and Conference on Virtual Reality and Converging Technologies.

This year's event took place on 20-24 March 2013 and was a great success.

The exhibition was divided into two parts with one of these being aimed at virtual reality professionals and the other open to the general public. Both parts saw an increase in visitors on the previous year.  Attendance by professionals increased from 4400 in 2012 to 4500 in 2013. Attendance by non-professionals increased from 8900 in 2012 to 10400 in 2013.

The International Networking Days were also very successful with 71 participants on the International Networking Dinner cruise and 77 participants for the Business Meetings which resulted in 27 business-to-business meetings.

The event overall was an excellent opportunity for Laval Mayenne Technopole to promote two of the Open Innovation Project actions: the Open Innovation Concept Store and Open Innovation Common Booth.

The Common Booth hosted two companies: Sokrate and Aequolab and both made many useful contacts.

Visitors could see a model of the Concept Store and enjoy an extensive presentation of its activities and co-working space. The presentation was attended by the visits of high-ranking local and national political figures as shown in the picture below.

Fleur Pellerin (Minister for SME's, Innovation and Digital Economy); Guillaume Garot (Minister for the Food Industry and former Mayor of Laval) and Jean-Christophe (Mayor of Laval) are shown the model of the Concept Store.
