Creative Barcode, easy, trust-based IP fit for a digital age and open innovation. Event 19th March 2013.

This event was attended by 26 delegates who represented a range of  individuals and companies including designers; inventors; innovators; digital firms and micro-sized and SME firms from all sectors and.

The event was hosted and chaired by the British Library Business and IP Centre and  included a presentation from Creative Barcode CEO, Maxine Horn on trust and ethical based Intellectual Property, fit for the digital age. It highlighted the services offered by Creative Barcode. A senior staff member from the University for the Creative Arts gave a brief introduction to their annual Creative Challenge event open to students across each of their 5 campuses in Epsom, Rochester, Farnham and Canterbury & Maidstone and highlight student concerns and opportunities.

Editor of Blue Pencil and Creative Industries lawyer, Julian Wilkins was on hand to join the Q & A panel and deal with any technical legal questions

This event was aimed at any individual and company with concerns regarding the disclosure of their business propositions and creative & innovation concepts to third party organisations in pursuit of its commercial exploitation; and for those seeking to address concerns, for instance, with regards to their IP contained in works and product images displayed online, at exhibitions, in print.
